Ogni tanto il modellista ha necessità di realizzare qualche elemento di contorno ai propri modelli.  Le possibilità sono due:

- Cercare qualche ditta che produce e vende quello di cui si ha bisogno ( nella speranza di trovarlo)

- Trovare un modo per produrlo in proprio e realizzarlo.

Il secondo metodo è sicuramente quello che da più soddisfazione e che ci permette di avere esattamente quello di cui abbiamo bisogno.

In questo caso mi servivano delle bottiglie di acqua minerale. Ecco come le ho realizzate.

Il primo passo è stato cercare qualche cosa per realizzare il corpo della bottiglia. Ho trovato la cannuccia di un profumino.

Sometimes a modellist needs to create some garnishment element for his models.
There are two possibilities:
- look for a firm that produces and sells what you need (hoping to find it!)
- find a way to produce and create it on your own.

The second method is for sure the one that gives more satisfaction and that allows to have exactly what is needed.

In this case, I needed some bottles of mineral water. Here's how I made them:
first of all, I had to find something to use for make the body of the bottle. I chose the thin cane of a perfume.

L'ho tagliato a pezzetti della misura desiderata.

I cut it in pieces of the desired size.

Manca però la parte bombata che termina col collo della bottiglia. Per realizzarla ho utilizzato un prodotto commerciale per modellismo per riprodurre i vetri. Ce ne sono di diverse marche. Se si fanno bottglie colorate si può usare della colla vinilica che però risulta un po' troppo opaca per bottiglie trasparenti.

But now, still misses the rounded part that ends with the bottle cap.  To make it I used a modelling commercial product for make glass. There are different brands. For colored bottles you can use vinyl glue, even if it's too matt for transparent bottles.

Ho appeso le future bottiglie a testa in giù e, con uno stuzzicadenti ho depositato delle gocce di vetro sintetico alla loro estremità. In questo modo, per gravità, si forma la parte bombata; servono due o tre applicazioni.

I've hung the future bottles upside down and with a toothpick I've put some drops of synthetic glass at their end. In this way, thanks to the gravity, you' ll have the rounded part. Two or three applications are needed.

Per i tappi ho utilizzato dei dischetti di cartone tagliati con una fustella casalinga. Lavorando con la carta questo genere di attrezzo è estremamente utile. Si usano aghi di siringhe reperibili in diverse misure. Gli si taglia la punta e si rifà il filo tagliente. All'interno si fa passare un filo di metallo che ci permette di estrarre i dischetti tagliati.

For the caps, I've used cardboard disks cut with a homemade punching. Working with paper this kind of tool is extremely usefull. To made the punching, you can use needles of syringes, which can be found in different size. You have to cut the tip and then make the sharpening again. You have then to let a metal wire pass within so you can extract the cut disks.

I dischetti così ottenuti li ho fissati con una goccia di cianoacrilato. Questi poi vanno colorati.

A questo punto è il turno delle etichette. Ho cercato in internet delle immagini di bottiglie. Con un programma di disegno le ho ridotte alla misura desiderata ma,non essendo files vettoriali la riduzione eccessiva fa perdere qualità all'immagine. Bisognerebbe quindi vettorializzare l'immagine per poi ridurla. Spesso però basta correggerla riprendendo le linee delle scritte e i contorni dei disegni. Si fa qualche prova e se il risultato è soddisfacente si passa alla stampa.

Then I've fixed the disks with a drop of cyanoacrylate glue. You have then to paint it.

Now it's labels turn! I've looked for bottles images on the internet. With a drawning program I reduce the size, but they were not vector files so the excessive reduction made the images quality lower. So it would be better to vectorized the images and then reduce them. However, often correcting the images it's enough. You just have to try and then when the outcome is satisfying you can print your labels.

A questo punto le bottiglie sono pronte!!

At this point , the bottles are ready!

Per realizzare i classici pacchi da 6 bottiglie ho provveduto ad incollarle tra di loro con colla vinilica.

Ho fatto la confezione con la classica pellicola per alimenti. Tagliata e fatta aderire alle bottilìglie e fissata nella parte inferiore del pacco con una goccia di cianoacrilato. Per finire si aggiunge la fascetta che funge da manico alla confezione.

To make the classical pack of six bottles, I've fixed the bottles together with some vinylc glue.

I've made the package with cling film. You have to cut it and put it on the bottles , fixing it on the bottom of the pack with a drop of cyanoacrylate glue. Finally, you can add the handle of the package.

Ecco il pacco di bottiglie pronto per arricchire le nostre scenette.

The package is ready to enrich your works.
